Every HR process. One governed platform.
From recruitment and onboarding to payroll and performance reviews — the entire employee lifecycle in a single system the team owns and controls. Every record, every transaction, every audit event in the same dictionary the rest of the business runs on.
One employee record
Personal details, employment history, contracts, benefits, certifications, performance and disciplinary records — in a single governed record with role-based access and full change audit.
Integrated with finance and operations
HR changes propagate to payroll, accounting and project costing in real time. No reconciliation cycle. No spreadsheet for cost allocation.
Audit by default
Every record change is captured. Who edited what, when, with which approval. Compliance reviews answered in SQL, not paper trail archaeology.
Built on the supervised platform
Multi-tenancy, security, observability, AI — all inherited from the runtime, not built into HR-specific code. The HR module is a platform application; the platform is the system.
Hire faster without losing candidate quality.
A structured applicant tracking system that takes a vacancy from approval through job posting, screening, interviews and offer — with every step documented, auditable and connected to the employee record created at hire.
- Vacancy approval workflow — Vacancies routed through cost-centre approval before publication. Headcount budget enforced; recruitment never opens a role the finance team has not approved.
- Multi-channel job posting — One posting flows to the careers site, LinkedIn, job boards and partner agencies. Applicants land in a single funnel regardless of channel.
- Structured interview scorecards — Per-stage, per-role scorecards completed by interviewers in the system. Decisions traceable; hiring bias auditable; comparable candidates comparable.
- Offer letter generation with e-signature — Offer letters generated from approved templates, sent via e-signature, archived against the candidate record. On-acceptance, the employee record is created automatically with the offer terms attached.

A single source of truth for every employee.
Personal details, employment history, contracts, benefits, certifications and disciplinary records — all in a governed employee record with role-based access, field-level masking and a full change audit trail.
- Configurable employee profile — Profile fields configured to the organisation — not a vendor template. Sensitive fields masked by role; visibility rules enforced at the compiler, not at the application layer.
- Contract and amendment management — Employment contracts, amendments, addenda and side letters managed against the employee record. Version history preserved; current-effective version always queryable.
- Document vault with expiry alerts — Identification, certifications, work permits, training records — all with expiry tracking and automated renewal alerts to the employee, the manager and HR.
- Org chart generator — Reporting lines, dotted-line relationships and cost-centre structure rendered live from the employee data. The chart is the data, not a separate Visio file.

Accurate time data without the spreadsheet.
Clock-in, shift scheduling, absence management and overtime calculation — captured in real time and fed directly to payroll. Integration with access-control hardware is supported out of the box.
- Flexible shift templates — Per-team, per-role, per-location shift templates with rotation rules. Schedule once; apply repeatedly; modify per-employee where the contract requires it.
- Mobile and kiosk clock-in — Clock-in via mobile app, browser, biometric kiosk or access-control turnstile. Same time data, four input channels.
- Absence types with accrual rules — Vacation, sick leave, parental leave, time-off-in-lieu, study leave — each with its own accrual, carry-over and approval workflow. Configured in the dictionary, not in code.
- Overtime calculation engine — Overtime rules per contract type, per jurisdiction, per pay period. Calculation transparent; rules auditable; results fed directly to payroll as approved time.

Payroll that closes on time, every time.
Gross-to-net calculation, statutory deductions, allowances and benefit contributions — configurable to the jurisdiction and employment-classification mix. Payslip generation and bank-file export are included.
- Multi-jurisdiction gross-to-net engine — Tax tables, social-security contributions and statutory deductions configured per jurisdiction. Cross-border employees handled with split calculations and proper reporting.
- Benefit and allowance rule engine — Per-employee benefit packages, allowance entitlements and salary sacrifices managed as dictionary rules. Changes audited; effective-date semantics preserved.
- Payslip generation — Statutory-format payslips generated, signed and distributed via the platform's secure document delivery surface. Past payslips queryable; reissue is one click.
- Bank payment file export — SEPA, BACS, ACH, SWIFT and country-specific bank file formats supported. Files generated, validated and posted to the bank channel with a full audit trail.

Structured performance management at every level.
Goal setting, mid-year check-ins, annual reviews and 360° feedback — all in a structured workflow that connects individual performance to team and organisational objectives.
- OKR and SMART goal framework — Goals cascaded from organisational objectives to team to individual. Progress tracked against measurable outcomes; reviews grounded in evidence, not memory.
- Continuous feedback module — Inline feedback captured against the employee record throughout the year. The annual review is a summary of recorded conversations, not a once-a-year burden.
- Configurable review cycle — Review cadence (annual, semi-annual, quarterly) and structure (self, manager, peer, skip-level, 360°) configured per role or per team. The platform enforces the cadence; HR does not chase.
- Performance trend analytics — Performance scores trended by team, manager, function and tenure. Patterns visible; succession-planning conversations grounded in data.

Every HR capability above is a platform inheritance.
HR is one of four Apps in the Airtool suite. All four — ERP, CRM, HR and Project Management — share the same runtime, the same dictionary, the same security perimeter, the same AI and observability surface. An HR record updates an account-management view in real time; a payroll entry posts to the ERP general ledger without a reconciliation job; a time-off request links automatically to the project plan it affects. The integration is not a configured connector; it is a property of running on one platform.
The implication for the buyer : a customer using Airtool HR as a packaged product gets every platform-core capability for free. A customer using Airtool HR as a reference architecture and rebuilding their own people-operations system on the platform inherits the same. The HR module demonstrates what the platform produces — and is a working starting point for what the customer can extend or replace.
