A connection is configured from several sources, and one wrong property can undo the platform's own guarantees. This release puts a deny list between those sources and the driver, and adds two kinds of honesty on the connection itself.
Properties
- A deny list per engine, applied after all sources merge, on both connect paths and to options embedded in the URL. Each hit logs a warning and restores a pinned default.
- Informix examples Automatic free is rejected because it breaks prepared-statement reuse, and the connection cleaner threads are pinned to zero.
Transactions and sessions
- Wasted transactions Each lease tallies queries, executes, procedures and transaction verbs. A lease with commits and nothing executed is flagged, classified by API method rather than SQL text so the rule holds on every engine, with the call stack at debug level.
- Auto-commit restored only when it drifted.
- Sessions labelled The client label becomes the platform name and the logical user, through the native mechanism on Informix, Oracle and PostgreSQL and a post-connect statement on HANA, Vertica and ClickHouse, within each engine's length cap.
- Maintenance mode Administrative pools keep working while a database is in maintenance; other connections are closed.
A DBA looking at the engine's session list now sees who holds each connection, and the platform refuses the properties that would have made that list lie.
